trauma healing group sessions
STARTING JAN 2025
In this queer-inclusive group space, we heal pre-natal, birth, and early childhood trauma through experiential parts work.
Resolve lifelong trauma by allowing fragmented parts to be witnessed and held by yourself and others.
This intimate container creates a safe space for deep transformation, allowing you to access and heal layers of early experiences that shaped your nervous system and current patterns.
DEVELOPMENTAL TRAUMA MANIFESTS AS
relational / attachment wounds
limiting beliefs
nervous system dysregulation
mental confusion
emotional overwhelm
These traumas are always relational in nature, leaving imprints and patterns that we carry into adulthood. While trauma often happens in isolation, this group intentionally shifts that pattern through supported collective healing practices.

👐CREATING AN INCLUSIVE SPACE
This is a queer-inclusive container, meaning:
-
You don't have to identify as queer to participate, however >
-
> All participants commit to honoring others' pronouns, gender identity, and cultural background
-
It's ok if you are new to using different pronouns, I will help!
-
We recognize that trauma healing must include awareness of systemic and cultural contexts, and offer folks a place where normative culture is not dominant.
is this right for you?

♾️THE INTEGRATION PROCESS
This is intense, deep work that requires readiness to process old wounds. During our sessions, you may encounter survival strategies and suppressed feelings that have been hidden. While this work can bring up challenging emotions, and you might temporarily feel worse, these experiences are a necessary part of the healing journey. Luckily, these old feelings will integrate with time.
The process requires dedicated space between sessions for integration, allowing you to create new neural pathways and give space to parts that weren't safe to express before. The group container provides support as you navigate these changes.
identity development constellations
ID Constellation work is particularly useful for accessing pre-verbal or subconscious patterns that haven't been resolved through other cognitive-based or somatic healing therapies.
This is a type of parts work where you can interact directly with the parts of your psyche that were traumatized, repressed, or unacknowledged, so they can finally feel heard and start to feel safe.
HOW IS THIS WORK DIFFERENT?
Traditional therapies often rely on our conscious ability to connect to stored memories, whether somatically or verbally. While this can be helpful, it has limitations when working with developmental trauma, because our psyche often splits in order to survive unsafe situations.
When we are young, our primary survival imperative is to attach to our caregivers. Children often blame themselves for environmental situations. If the environment was unsafe, and/or our caregivers were not available physically or emotionally, we learn to split off the parts of us that are in pain. We develop survival strategies to manage difficult situations.
As we mature, we gain more autonomy and agency, but these survival strategies stay with us, even when they are no longer useful. We feel triggered by things that are not actually dangerous anymore, but the feelings are so intense because these young subconscious parts of ourselves are unable to distinguish the past from the present.
THE INSIDE REFLECTED OUTSIDE
ID constellation work allows us to access parts of our subconscious, which is where most of our implicit behaviors, thoughts, and tension patterns live. Having other people resonate with different parts of our psyche creates a uniquely powerful way to connect and heal.
People often express surprise at meeting these parts of themselves, as they are not always what we expect. Through the group field, we can fully witness and be present with these subconscious expressions in a way that isn't possible when working alone or even one-on-one.
the session process
SETTING YOUR INTENTION
Each session begins with one person sharing an intention - a statement or question about what they want to explore. The only requirement is that it includes "I." For example:
-
I want to be seen and heard"
-
"Why do I have such a hard time with conflict?"
-
[Add another example that resonates with early/developmental themes]
THE ELEMENTS
From their intention, the person chooses three elements. The "I" is always one element, along with two other words or even punctuation marks from their statement. These elements become the anchors for exploration.
THE ROLES
Three group members are chosen to embody these elements. Through their resonance, they help illuminate different parts of the intention holder that are related to the intention. The collective witnessing creates a safe container for exploration.
HOW THE SESSION UNFOLDS
The intention holder leads their own process, checking in with each element to discover what emerges. A unique trauma biography naturally unfolds as split parts begin to find their way back to wholeness.
The facilitator remains present and available for support while honoring the intention holder's autonomy. Throughout the session, you are in charge of your own process. Support is always available but never imposed, and your timing and readiness are deeply respected while the group holds space for whatever emerges.
SESSION TIMELINE
Each 2.75-hour session follows a consistent structure:
-
Opening group check-in
-
Discussion and questions about experiences since last meeting
-
Main constellation work (75-90 minutes)
-
Short debrief and integration
-
Throughout the program, each participant will have opportunities to receive their own constellation session, resonate as an element in others' constellations, and witness and hold space for the group
